Yoke overlay, skirt hemline, and bonnet of this beautiful christening gown ensemble are made from the luxurious boarder of white eyelet. White smocking enhances the beauty of the gown and adds to the heirloom style. Gown is made from poly/cotton eyelet fabric. Finished length of gown from shoulder to hemline is 45”. The Peter Pan color is edged with matching red piping. The back of the dress closes with three red buttons and features piping where skirt and bodice join. A 4 inch hem finishes the skirt. This beautifully detailed lavender and pink flowered dress is embellished with smocking in three shades of lavender. Rose bouquets in the same lavender shades are embroidered on the Peter Pan collar and on the cuffs of the puffy sleeves. The white collars and cuffs are enhanced with narrow white lace and flowered piping. Three buttons close the back, which also features piping between the bodice and skirt. The hem is 4 inches deep. White linen-like fabric is the background for bumble bees in flight. Two bees, one on the collar and one on the pocket flap have three-dimensional wings buzzing them along their flight path. The collar and pocket flap are trimmed with yellow accents. The pleats in front and back are accented with decorative stitching. Short sleeves have narrow hems. Pin tucks and eyelet lace accent the round yoke and sleeves of this white christening ensemble including gown, full-length slip, bib, and bonnet. The hemline detail includes a puffing strip bordered on both top and bottom by sumptuously embroidered insertion. The ruffle at the lower edge is embellished with three pin tucks and finished with eyelet lace to match the top of the dress. The same eyelet lace edges the front of the bonnet, the outer edges of the bib, and the hem of the slip. The back of the dress closes with white buttons.
