I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency)

How many times have you dropped off your child at a sports practice and left him or her with the coach and team while you ran errands or dropped off another child at another event? How quickly could the coach get in touch with you if your child was injured? Most coaches have emergency contact information, but is it right at their fingertips when they are on the field with an injured child?

Have you ever been concerned that your toddler might wander away from you at the mall, the zoo, or the park? Would the security personnel have any way to contact you when your child was found crying?

Lumen Laser Cutting & Engraving, Inc. is currently working with a number of sports clubs encouraging parents and guardians to require that every child wear an I.C.E. tag any time the parents are not present, even for only a few minutes.

Each tag is custom engraved for your child. It contains the information you decide is most important; however, we suggest it be engraved with:
  • the name of the child,

  • the name of the parent or guardian,

  • the cell phone or other emergency contact telephone number,

  • any other medical information that would be useful during an emergency, such as "allergic to penicillin" or "diabetic".

  • many hospitals request that the child's date of birth be included.

Older children can wear the I.C.E. tag as a necklace or bracelet. For younger children or toddlers, the tags can be laced into shoe, roller skate, or ice skate laces.

The tags shown on our ID TAGS page are made from anodized aluminum, and are available in black, blue, green, red, gold or silver. Tags of almost any size or shape can also be made from plastic. Engraving is permanent. It will not rub or wear off.
